This was a prototype put together fairly quickly (robot frame and basic actuator mount in single weekend). All motion is driven by linear actuators. Hand and control electronics took a bit of time. Welded motorcycle chain fingers, one actuator driving tendons, control via H-bridges driven by Microchip PIC controller running a relatively simple sequence initiated externally with simple momentary switch.

I did not create this animatronics creature, it was done by someone I know.
