Trail camera setup

Setting up a trail camera to get pictures of the local wildlife. Hopefully in a few days we will have some pictures of deer or wild hogs.

I would drill a hole in the tree, When the battery is dead i'd throw it in a lake.

I wouldn't worry too much about the battery getting thrown away. When you return, be happy if it is still there, along with the trail camera. There are thieves EVERYWHERE!!

I serious doubt that by putting a screw/lag bolt into the tree will do any damage to the tree.

Nothing worse than a camera chewing through batteries... gets expensive.
