ViBe video segmentation embedded on a Canon digicam with CHDK

This digicam runs a CHDK firmware customized to perform on-screen ViBe video segmentation. ViBe is a video segmentation algorithm designed by Marc Van Droogenbroeck and Olivier Barnich. This video demonstrates that ViBe is fast enough be embedded on a regular digital camera. This does take a fair amount of processing power.

Its nothing spectacular. When it detects motion if i have the cam in my shaky hands, that would be great. But this can be done with reference-image substraction.
