  • Change your mindset. The major issue is continuing to think in terms of countries and nations. We live on a single planet, a globe - Globalization is fact.

We need to get rid of borders, patriotism, and the them v us mentality to align with reality. Once the 99.9% are joined, the monyed based control mechanism will die.

  • Working Class is disorganized and the capitalists have taken full advantage of that. Start networking and supporting workers across the world, don't fall for the corporate media. Start reading about socialism, it's not bullcrap, Capitalism is and there are very good reason why socialism has been resisted by these leeches.

  • @gulbirk Then why are we having employment issues? Why then aren't these jobs enough to support the system as it is? Because there simply is not enough of them. No one with a HS diploma GED or less can get jobs doing these things. Simply search automation vs. employment to see for yourself. Automation and production are inverse to employment.

  • @vrd180 Only those within production. Doctors, nurses, social workers, teachers, people working in gindergartens, psychologists, scientists, mechanics (not to speak of all those we need if we make more machines), politicians (AND their secrataries), everyone within sports, etc.

  • @gulbirk @gulbirk Service jobs are being automated too. ATMs, kiosks, etc. A scanner or other type of device connected to a vast data base can diagnose disease in patients far more accurately than a human can (not that one exists, YET). Those involved in designing and maintenance of machines are only a few. The number of human required jobs is far too few to support the current system. Most jobs we have today could all be eliminated by mechanization. The trend is clear.

  • @gulbirk Jobs arent gone. Its just that they arent here anymore, they are in third world countries.

  • @vrd180 Still, most jobs have to be done by actuall people. Service jobs, social workers, doctors, nurses, teachers, etc. Not to include the number of people one need to fix and create these machines.

  • @gulbirk Have you been on a farm lately? What used to take hundreds of workers now takes a few dozen. Same is true for the manufacturing sector. What keeps humans employed is cost, which the cost of automation is dropping every day. Soon the cost to automate will become far cheaper than to employ even illegals or outsourced work. The service industry has expanded as a result of loss in labor but even that is changing. Technological unemployment is the elephant in room no one is talking about.

  • @vrd180 Ehm, I dont like to upset you but most of the jobs in society are still done by humans, and it will always be that way.

  • The middle class experiment is over and TPTB are reverting to feudalism.

  • @esalian9 Yes it is the one with the old dude teaching you about the consequences of growth. 8 clips.
