@kajohada I think is so wrong to compare these great pianists..Martha is a gift..Ms Fischer an other wonderful phenomenon..in my opinion.

@kajohada (cont) and not just a series of bravura passages or a vehicle of desperate virtuosic display filled with clacking noises on the piano keyboard. Sad to say, there are many such new generation pianists with the exception of Kissin. I watched this kid on youtube and he got my attention that apart from a genuine natural ability to deal difficult passages, he was very warm and down-to-earth with his playing. His name is George Li, you watch his "Une Barque sur L'ocean", wunderkind!

@kajohada I'd hate to disagree with you on grounds that it's not a really nice practice to compare between artists but yes, you are definitely quite right and to be honest I really don't listen to Argerich after a major disappointment i had over her Chopin concerto #1, she lacked depth and her expressions lacked human qualities of the tender kind that is the context to Chopin's many compositions. Fischer has definitely got all the ingredients to make piano music sound like true music and (cont)

Wonderful!! Who is the conductor? Do you know the date of the performance?

Through her fingers this concerto sounds new to my ears. So heartfelt and beautiful!

really amazing version of this concerto... loving it...
but still i would not compare pianists.... man can make a difference between pianist who is really bad and for example sviatoslav richter.... but to compare annie and martha is like comparing richter and gilels... both of them we simply adore....

Beautiful playing!

There were at least five very good european woman pianists actif in the 20th century:
in london Myra Hess, in Paris Eliane Richepin and Marguerite Long, in Budapest Annie Fischer, and of course Martha Argerich who is still actif.
I heard Annie Fischer in Paris, was an excellent recital she gave at salle Gaveau. in the 80ties. She had a marvellous sound and was a great musician and a very polite and simple person.
...wow,la stupenda, better than m.argerich, because she has the real power in expression;))

...she was also outstanding in liszt.the octaves at the beginning and before the reprise is going to start, full of power and as sonorous as u can ever imagine.
she was by far the better pianist comparing to martha argerich indeed.
