  • i played this piece with my dad when i was in high school. Me on bass and my Dad on clarinet, we did some research on the piece and found out that when Bottesini wrote the piece, he wrote it with the intent of performing it with his father, Pietro Bottesini, who was a very skilled clarinettist. Kind of made for a special moment for my dad and i.
