Strange to see Brock in a Ford!

@BINMOED - Actually, the Director was released with IRS before it had been tested for ADR compliance. You might have noticed that all of the Directors sold had live rear axles (unless someone can prove me wrong). As well as Holden thinking it could get by without Brock, Brock thought he could get by without Holden. In 3 years he went from turning out Aus's hottest Commodores to doing predelivery work on Lada Samara sh#tboxes.

05 commodore o.O wth its a ford not a holden

How disgraceful that the Ford Sierra ever even became apart of the Australian Tour Car Championship. Yes it was a great car but it was a car that Ford Australia never even sold in this country through its factory dealerships.
At least with the VAST majority (if not all) of the other cars that competed Joe Public could by locally at the time through the dealerships (yes even the controversial Skyline GTR when it arrived).

Gotta love Brock. "oh thats good!" He is the king.

@2175Wook He switched to the other brands because he fell out with Holden over 2 things. The Polorizer and the release of the VL Director. The Director was released with IRS before Holden had a chance to develop an IRS setup. So Holden saw Brockie as being bad news for Holden at the time. A decision that they later regreted when they realized that fans are loyal to the driver and not the brand, hence Holdens back flip in '91 when Brockie came home.

Always the quiet achiever though. Note at the end of the video when he was told of the pole time he gave his characteristic eye brow raise followed by "Thats good. I'm happy with that". Forever in our thoughts: The King of the Mountain.
