This is our attempt to recreate the angle and movement of the famous FX shot from the TNG Intro using our AMT/ERTL 1/1400 scale model replica of the Starship ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-D.
Agreed. I was hoping they might use a physical model for Star Trek XI. Although the 3D meshes they did use looked almost as realistic as the Galaxy model made for TNG.
@troy2062 Yeah it sure would, I have ALWAYS hated computer generated models, they NEVER look like the real thing and I mean never. Building high quality models and filming them is always the way to go
Absolutely stunning! I'm hoping to buy the AMT 3 Piece Enterprise set soon, I think it's 1/2500 scale, but it won't turn out anywhere near as amazing as this example!
I bought two of these in the past, and I couldn't get either of them to look half as good as yours. Great job!
