Just believe that what you are saying is important and that you are happy to have the opportunity to speak on the microphone. Speak slowly, practice a lot, but don't practice with fear... practice with confidence. practice with glancing at your notecards quickly, then returning eye contact. Maybe put a funny joke in at the beginning, or ask a rhetorical question to get the crowd involved. Good Luck.

Thanks, she was a great fifth grade president!!! Now she's into ballet more... about 12 hours a week.
