  • @loosefrank5 I agree with being able to single out words once you know them.

She definitely says "Geechee girl"...she's talking about a culture of people along the shore of South Carolina.

  • wow.. shes great shes got a little bit of everything

  • Thanks! :)

  • @shlad

Thank you so much. It's amazing how easy it is to hear the words once you know the lyrics. I was really struggling to figure out that "hard drinkin' kind of man" part. I suppose getting stuck on "so sad" and "poetry" didn't help. Although I still say geisha girl, not gichi girl.

How about a little help on the "seashell" part of what she wore on a string, and the part right before "underneath her clothes". Thanks again to your better ears.

  • @loosefrank5

    Sure can't keep it hidden

  • He was a raw-boned southern boy stronger than a hurricane

He had soft side and was a bonafide hard drinkin' kind of man

It's gonna be a long long night

She was the third child of gichi girl fine as Carolina sand

She had a hot blood and was a wild thing everytime she got the chance

It's gonna be a long long night

  • @TigaBg lyrics continued - Everybody's going to be talking about how they burned the whole place down She wore a seashell on a shoe string, (wore it?) underneath her clothes When he came to her, she understood, nobody else could ever know It's going to be a long long night, fire, fire, fire oh oo (Repeat Everybody refrain) (Hitting?) like a heat rush, burning like a fever, Never be forgiven, (still?) can't keep it hidden Burning like a fever(5refrains) Everybody..
  • @TigaBg This is my best guess at the lyrics -

It was a wrong (bond?), a southern boy, stronger than a hurricane

It was so sad, it was a bonafide, poetry from (Cambra way??)

It's going to be a long, long night

She was the third child of a geisha girl, kindest pair of eyes to see

She had a hot blood for the wrong thing, everytime she got the shakes

It's going to be a long long night

    Fire, fire, fire oh oo

Everybody's going to be talking about this for a hundred years from now

  • hurt my ears alittle but shes ok

  • she is an amazing talent. that voice!!!
