  • ive never tired of them in 36 years they were and still are amazing.

  • Became a Sweet fan over thirty years ago. Desolation Blvd. their big album in Canada. As I got older , appreciated their incredible musicianship and vocal range/versatility. Just the brilliant hooks/rhythm of their songs somehow enables one to never tire, regardless of how often you play their music, of listening. I like many artists (from Enya to Iron Maiden), but I tend to listen to any of the others in "cycles" so as to not get bored. The total Sweet sound seems immune from being boring !

  • @garrettten I was able to score a 33 1/2 copy of Desolution Blvd. 15 years ago at a used record store in mint condition. I never get tired of listening to it.

  • @1973WaveyDavey I agree they need a compilation of their heavy stuff into a "best of" cd, don't forget Set Me Free, Someone Else Will & Breakdown oh & the Healer....so many friggin great songs! :) It's hard to pick a favorite.

  • I have a fever right now...so I'm laying in bed watching Sweet videos!

  • @garrettten

I know exactly what you mean garettten! I put on lesser known tracks like this and always wonder why Sweet were not a top draw rock act in the later years. They easily rivaled Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, Judas Priest etc. They were bone fide head banger merchants. I have a huge variety of artists in my music collection and nothing comes close. I could easily compile a heavy album of Sweet tracks - such as Sweet FA, She Gimme Lovin', Keep It In, Cockraoch etc.

  • Just to add as well that queen stole or should I have said attempted to copy Sweets 4 part harmonies style and although live queen were shit at it Sweet were as good at the harmonies live as they were in the studio RIP Brian N Mick we will always remember and love you both.
