Women have abandoned the definition that we both have shaped for 1000's of years because they feel it no longer suits them. We, on the other hand, have not. And are still trapped by an old definition that prevents us from having an impact on our local and global communities.

  • This was an EXCELLENT video!--and I watch alot of video blogs on YouTube.

The ideas that you expressed are along the lines of Ayn Rand's philosophy that men should act in their own "enlightened self interest" regardless of what society may wish for their lives.

You might want to check out Ayn Rand's "the Virtue of Selfishness." It revolutionized my thinking about a number of subjects--including love and marriage.

  • im going to do that. thanks.

  • Growing up now adays, with so many of us without a positive male role model,it's basically a sink or swim mentallity. And too many of us(men) are sinking fast due to lack of knowledge.

We(as men) need to be willing to learn from other men's past experiences and situations. And not to be quick to insult, or cut them off when speaking. You'll be surprised at what you can gain by talking to them.

Just as we can learn from what TO do, we also can learn from what NOT to do.

  • The main problem is that alot of men let WOMEN define what manhood is. Anytime you let someone else define who you are you will be in bad situations. First they can only define themselves, they can only say what they 'think' you should be.. Secondly the person you let define you will exploit you sooner or later because of that power. Aother man will be able to give you a better definition than any woman ever could. Cats can't define dogs, the judgment and penalty system is different...

  • Who is "they"?

  • Nice video. Unlike other MRA videos on youtube, you are less accusatory and more problem solving oriented. no blaming or name calling. I like your ideas. Our western society is caught up in consumerism and we need to get away from that and work together to make the world a better place to live.

  • Then you have these self absorbed, self riteous, self serving women who are blatently disrespectful and like to play mind games. I don't like my emotions played with, people should have self confidence, but chicks who go from guy to guy getting all they can until they have an ontorage of swinging dicks that they use for sex and money and whatever else they can get; just isn't right. As a man I see a lot of this and I wish women wouldn't do this to us. No one plays fair or sticks together anymore

  • I don't like how when a man is faithful, wants to love and be loved. Somehow it becomes about how much more he should do financially, of get a second job; when he already works hard but gets it thrown up to him that its not enough. Then they make you fell like they could do better, than you, like they might start looking somewhere else. Also, how many women get taken to court and have to pay child support or alomony, compared to men. I know so many men who aren't treated right by their women.

  • Let me make something clear, I have never hit a woman. I wasn't raised that way. I don't support that behavior. My Mother is an educated women she has four college degrees, she raised us to do are share of the chores and tried to make it fair for all in the household. I meet women with lazy kids, that won't lift a finger. Its all about video games and TV. The mothers of these kids don't provide any structure and most are just as lazy, the man should contribute, but not have to do it all.

  • You need to understand what manhood means before you speak about it: Manhood101 . com

  • @tribalstudy See, I was raised by my mother because my father took up and abandoned us. He wanted to be free and do what he wanted to do. We struggled throughout our lives, but my mother made sure we had food on the table, clean clothes on our backs, and a roof over a head. Raising 6 kids on your own is not an easy task, but possible. I sincerely believe that children need both parents. Where I grew up men were known to leave and never come back, but I know not all men are like that.

  • @tribalstudy The wife beater is a strong looking guy, and should be working, but I guess hard labor work is out of the question for that coward. I am against domestic violence, whether the victim is male or female. To say that most women wear expensive clothing and more concerned about themselves than the household is crazy. Almost every woman I know does the exact opposite. They put their families before jewelry or whatever. Is there anything positive you can say about them?

  • @tribalstudy Really, well maybe you should visit the guy next door to me who beat up his wife a couple of weeks ago. For about half-an-hour, I thought I was hearing a faraway thunderstorm because it sounded that way, but then later learned that he was beating her, probably throwing her against the wall. Another neighbor told me what he saw but did not call the cops. If I knew about that I would have called the cops myself. Also, the idiot does not work and don't plan to.

  • Men still have to do hard labor jobs more so than women, that's one thing that hasn't changed. Women of this generation also try to manipulate 75% of the money in the household. Most women where expensive clothes, jewelry, and are more concerned with how they look in public, than what is best for "everyone" how lives in a household. I agree that women like to verbally argue with men and cause way more drama than they should, because they can. They even tend to be more physically agressive too.
