@patricknonstar You should watch the following video because it directly compares artwork depicting Egyptian pharaohs, vs. the 25th Dynasty Nubian pharaohs. As you can see, Egyptians clearly distinguished themselves from black Africans. Egyptians portrayed themselves as tanned Caucasoids, very different from Negroids:

@patricknonstar A group of noted physical anthropologists conducted craniofacial studies of ancient Egyptian skeletal remains and concluded that "the Egyptians have been in place since back in the Pleistocene and have been largely unaffected by either invasions or migrations. As others have noted, Egyptians are Egyptians, and they were so in the past as well." [C. Loring Brace, et al: "Clines and Clusters Versus 'Race'," American Journal of Physical Anthropology, Vol 36:17, pp. 1-31, 1993].

@takfam07 In addition, Cheik Anta Diop tested the cranial structure of mummies in a museum in Paris and they turned out to be of "Negorid" descent. Also, he used a melanin dosage test and once again, they turned out to be of "Negroid" descent. The DNA evidence that shows Ancient Egyptians as "non-Negroid" people comes from the same people who said Egypt itself is a part of Europe and/or the Middle East and not Africa. Look at the Bio Cultural Origins of Ancient Egypt here on youtube.

@takfam07 One thing Diop lacked was DNA evidence, but S.O.Y. Keita sheds some light on Cheik Anta Diop's "unbalanced theories." As far as artwork goes, Ancient Kemetean and Ancient Nubian artwork shows great similarities. Art and Hieroglyphics in Egyptian tombs and on monuments depict them as loosely garmented and as we all know, Arabs or Modern Egyptians, are heavily garmented to protect them from the harsh climates of Egypt or else, they would burn to death in a matter of seconds.

@patricknonstar Diop is not taught at accredited universities because his claims are not backed by peer-reviewed evidence. And his claims are substantial. He's positing a paradigm shift in the way we view Egypt and black Africa. And for such a shift to take hold, there needs to be clear, demonstrable evidence. But DNA, art, and the mummies all clearly point to a non-Negroid people. Most of all, modern Egyptians directly descended from ancients--and THEY aren't black. So there you have it.

@SundiataOfMali Yes, thank you.

@takfam07 I am sure everyone can agree that just because something isn't taught at an "accredited university" or a school does not automatically mean it is false or bogus. You, a Harvard student, of all people should know this. That being said, what do you people learn in "refute Diop's research" class? I am quite amazed that there is an entire curriculum created to debunk Diop's theories. So I ask again, how is Dr. Diop a fraud and what does that course cover about him?
you'd think these are the stuff BET would be showing black people but oh NO!!! they wanna show women shaking their half naked ass
