@mark675 - there is propwash but you're towing above it - tow too low and you'l hit turbulence

ive never understood how planes get affected by the wake turbulance and prop wash off the plane infront but hangliders/ gliders being towed by a plane quite close dont seem to?

can anyone explain please?
