  • Sounds amazing ! Wasn't what I expected when I clicked the video , well done !

  • That sound is amazing. Does it have dual glass pack mufflers?

  • @900ss81 I thought that was the 223 I6...

  • @YARKERNZ

You're right, there was a 221 V8 which evolved to the 260, 289 and 302. There was also a 221 inline 6 which was available in the XT & XW Falcons and ZB & ZC Fairlane Customs. The sixes were lively & reved well.

  • Cool sound,best looking Falcon.

  • quick ford six history lesson

144 and 170 ci had 4 main bearing crank

then early 200 ci had 4 mains as well

late 200 ci went to a 7 main crank ,much more durable etc

then 188 ci and 221 ci had a increase in block deck height to add more stroke

finally in the pre crossflow range came the 250 and 250 2v,deck height increased again, phew

just got a 221 inline six recon for a 1963 falcon wagon ,most people whom had them, swear by them and they seem to be the best formula with bore vs stroke.
