You're right, there was a 221 V8 which evolved to the 260, 289 and 302. There was also a 221 inline 6 which was available in the XT & XW Falcons and ZB & ZC Fairlane Customs. The sixes were lively & reved well.

finally in the pre crossflow range came the 250 and 250 2v,deck height increased again,phew
just got a 221 inline six recon for a 1963 falcon wagon ,most people whom had them,swear by them and they seem to be the best formula with bore vs stroke.

Real nice the old Falcons but one question. the six cyl engines were 144ci, 170ci, 200ci and 250ci the 221ci was as far as i'm aware a V8 my m8 had one in his stock car in NZ super tweeked and was pushing 300bhp
