A film on education and the challenges of modern schooling. The film was made from a compilation of interviews with high school students. This is an edited segment, not the whole documentary. Making this film inspired me to study education, ultimately writing a book on the ideological hypocrisy of modern education.

following rules and procedures is the focus of our public education system, not making us "smart." luckily there are still some schools out there--mostly at the college level-- that are self-sufficient and do rely entirely on government funding, and are therefore free to determine their own curriculum, sometimes to the true benefit of their students!
The student voices were by far the most compelling portion. They were genuine and you edited it well. The interjections and script was a bit stilted. However the last piece shot at the back of the lecture hall was done well. Rather than have the voice over by the female, the scripted portion would be better done like you did at the end. From a technical point of view, your audio could have been better....
There more than mere correlation between good memory and understanding. The more a subject is understood, the better it is memorized. The converse, however, is not true. "Smart" people aren't usually smart just because they memorize a lot of stuff. They memorize a lot of stuff because they're "smart" (i.e. understanding a given memorized subject well).
