If anyone wants speed out of a mower I have a solution, I haven’t made it yet but, I know it will work! Take a stock mower, take off the tires put a sprocket on instead of tires then put a live axle on the back or somewhere it fits, link the transaxle sprockets and the live axle sprockets, change the gear ratios around to suit your needs (transaxle large sprocket and live axle small sprocket for speed),

@megatronr13 thatmight work, as long as the chain isnt sideways, it has to be up & down like it would be on a bike, otherwise the weight of the chain on the sproket will eat the chain up. have fun tho :)... i race lawnmowers btw. chek out my site, look @ my vid titled "I WON!"

@megatronr13 oh my holy freeking crap!!! i cant believe that! lol U WELDED EM??? lol i made a hub 4 mine its hard to do, but it will work, & it makes it so u can still take em off & put it on ur moms mini van XD. i dont have any vids posted of mine yet, but i do have some on my ipod, so chek on my page periodicly for vids of it :)

@megatronr13 check out a Briggs oposed twin... 16, 17, 18, 19, 20hp i had a 20hp, but threw the rods from continual 4100rpms durring a race :) but there easy to find but powerful like no other!!! they give u the torq to pull outta any turn in top gear!

@megatronr13 ok good to know, kuz when we wer seting up our racers, evry was thinkin CHAIN! but the pros told us no kuz the work, but with all the tourq & all that, it eats up the chain nearly evry race. but ill keep that in mind :) im thinkin direct drive with the box tranny for my latest racer :) sub me & keep watchin for more updates!!! :)
