"we"? You speak for all White People?
Look, if "YOU" not "we" want to Genuflect with your Back-Handed Compliment, alluding to "only non-white people" know what the Blues are,or, Cannot perform the Blues--
It is insulting both Blacks and Whites, because Color should have no place in Music-Just "love it-"
We learn from Each other-
and it is "you" that injected the stupid Race Comment.
I am French(white) and Algerian(slightly darker white). I don't have a sign on my forehead-
You're Stupid-

Just for your info...they are all Mexican-American, from Michigan, led by ?, whose name is Rudy Martinez. Original band members were, Larry Borjas, Robert Balderrama and Robert Martinez. Borjas and Robert Martinez ended up in the Army and were replaced by Eddie Serrato and Frank Lugo. Fourteen (14 !) year old Frank Rodriquez was brought into play key boards and Voila (what would be the Spanish word??), the band that we know and love was formed.

Gotta love that psychedelic keyboard sound of the 60s and early 70s.

Obviously, James Brown, Jackie Wilson
and numerous other early R&B and Soul
artists started that early type of dancing
by singers on stage but Mick Jagger and
Peter Wolf definitely used that style.
