  • @freakyboie19699 This is for doubling the horsepower available to pull larger equipment. Brilliant idea back in the day.

  • @DOffio how far back in the day lol they dont look that old maybe 70s

  • @freakyboie19699 Those tractors went out of production in 1954.

  • Double the fun!

Great to see this JD combination found and restored to its former glory.

    Regards from Australia

  • @freakyboie19699 Buddy, John Deere was WAAAAY ahead of their time! for instance john deere had piston hydraulic pumps allmost since i can remember. the other companies just started to put those pumps on their tractors allmost 20 years ago

  • @freakyboie19699 if you want to learn more i found this video and no this is not spam youtube.com/watch?v=ZhULmjuk4cE&feature=related

  • @freakyboie19699 having 2 of the same tractor running as one like that more then doubles the horse power, i dont know how it works but they could pull about 2 and a half times the number of plows...so i have been told anyway

  • got to love those pony motors :P

  • @icewolf1100 Actually this is by no means the first (the model R was first made in 1949) a short list of some notable 4wd tractors that are older,

1930 Massey Harris GP most popular of the early 4wd tractors.

1922 Rogers had a setup most like our modern 4wd tractors.

1921 Samson iron horse oldest 4wd tractor I have found.

  • the 1st 4wd tractor

  • @DOffio damm that is back in the day lol
