Final Fantasy XII: Hell Wyrm (Pt.1 of 5)

This is sorta my guide to beating Hell Wyrm. I know there are better and quicker ways, but this is more for the gambit challenged (like myself).

It's actually a pretty simple set up.

The first video here pretty much shows how to get to him and what set up I use. There's only about 3 minutes worth of fighting.

In order to unlock the fight you had to have already visited Draklor Laboratory, and defeated the Vyraal Wyrm mark.

After you defeat Vyraal Wyrm, go to Cerobi Steppe and go to Windmill #10. Talk to the Wyrm Philosopher and give him the Dragon Scale from the Vyraal Wyrm and he'll give you the Ageworn Key.

Now you go to Sochen Cave Palace and travel up to Destiny's March and enter the Ancient door from the east side.

The rest can be viewed in the video, here it is in text.

You travel in a clockwise pattern through every door marked "Door of Hours".

If done right you will unlock the Ascetic Door.

Go to the west side of Destiny's March, go through the Ascetic Door down the Hall of the Ascetic to the Hall of the Wroth God.

Prepare for the battle and then use the Ageworn Key on the door and kick his ass.

Level 60
HP 8,930,711
Weak vs. Holy
Absorbs Dark
1/2 all other Elements

So Excalibur is a great weapon to have.

I beat him only in 15 minute ,just try decoy and Reverse gambit to lure him..use expose & use berserk to strongest char you have, use masamune + genji set armor..make this char HP critical..and See what happen..you can make more than 12 hit in 1 strike....

That's how I did it:

My party was LVL 81 Vaan, LVL 79 Basch and LVL 80 Ashe, with Basch as the leader (OBS: I didn't know of any Hell Wyrm while I was leveling up, that's why the high levels.). Vaan had a Masamune (w/ Genji Gloves equipped), Magepower Shishak and Maximilian. Basch had a Zodiac Spear, Renewing Morion and Minerva Bustier, also a Bubble Suit. Ashe had a Tournesol, Golden Skullcap, (forgot the armor) and Sage's Ring. No need for any strategies, just beat it up normally.
