@GovermentG Do you know what ethnicity fucking means? Are Iraqis not ethnic Arabs just cause their name is Iraq? Same goes with Persian. If you speak Persian or a Persian-dialect then you're Persian, that simple. There are 120 million Persians worldwide with three Persian speaking countries. There are Pakistanis with Persian background, true. Btw,both Iran and Persia is used,so even if an Iranian's ethnic background isn't Persian you could still refer to them as Persians/Iranians.

'paki' is originally a racist term from UK in the 70s when lots of indians bangldeshis and pakistani immigrants were being targetted by racist groups, skinheads and nazis. Once the new generation of british pakistanis formed gangs and kicked the racists off the streets, there is less racism in UK and the term is more often used as an abbreviation rather than to be racist. even pakistanis use it - just like blacks use the N word. It all depends if the speaker intends to offend or not
