Yep, you can take off and land an F/A 18 on SABA's 400 metres! And with more room to spare than I left, although for this recorded circuit I tried to maintain a pretty normal approach profile with a slight margin over the threshold. If you fly in shallow and "behind the drag curve" you can stop quicker but literally can't see over the nose.
System:
* Core i5 2500k clocked to 4.8
* 4gb of 2133 g-skill rip-jaws
* old zalman 9700 cooler (getting up to 80 degrees though!)
* nvidia 260gtx
* Some fsx.cfg tweaks - any advice on more/better gratefully accepted!
* Win7 32bit
Captured with fraps at half size from a 1680 x 1050 feed. Fraps is awesome but robs quite a few FPS - we need a proper, cheap hardware capture device!
A big thanks to Flytampa - this and their St Barts airfields are a massive improvement on the standard ones.
