  • Someone who live sin my small town (population 50,000) as an Audi R8, it certainly stands out! It looks way different in person it looks flatter almost like it's 15 feet wide and it looks a lot more menacing than it does in the video shown.

  • exactly what's the best car Jeremy Clarkson ever driven? seems like many supercars he drove, he would say the same thing. it's like one after the other

  • @onefouronezero Ferrari F40. He says it frequently, but if you ask him what is the best super car in the world, F40.

  • @onefouronezero He probably thought another car was better than the r8 then drove this r8 than thought this was better

  • @onefouronezero Each new car that's the best everdriven undoes his previous statement because the new one is better than the old one - The R8 is the best car he has ever driven, he said so last month at the top gear show!!! fool

  • @onefouronezero You understand there is this thing called TIME? Each new car that's the best everdriven undoes his previous statement because the new one is better than the old one.

  • @nthusiastt i would assume it is fair IF he admits that the R8 V10 is the best car over all the car he had said that is 'the best' too :)

  • @onefouronezero

Is it fair to assume as engineering developes, new technologies are born, and production cars improve that opinion can change.

  • @Mike500001 yep, but R8 has a good aerodynamic, so those 5XX HP does R8 have should make it run faster than 320, or at least 320. if course it does 316 but it's a bit slower considering that is an V10. I mean it is SLOW.

  • But that's not all, you have losses from the gearbox and drivetrain, which can amount to ~15%. Accounting for that, you roughly need this engine power:

    200 km/h: 130 HP, 250 km/h: 237 HP, 260 km/h: 264 HP, 270 km/h: 293 HP, 280 km/h: 324 HP, 290 km/h: 358 HP, 300 km/h: 393 HP, 310 km/h: 431 HP, 350 km/h: 609 HP, 400 km/h: 893 HP.

Not to mention the changes you have to make in the aerodynamic design to make it rock stable at such speeds. So it's better to stay at a lower top speed.

  • he contradicts himself all the time in his reviews... he admits this too. his fav car of 2011 tho is the BMW 1M (surprise!) because, according to him, it puts the biggest smile on his face.

  • @onefouronezero

It means, all of them are damn nice, and it's up to your taste to choose.^^
