The defiant Occupy Wall Street army has vowed to fight on against the grip of big business, following a weekend of arrests and scuffles with police across the US. The movement, that's now a month old, is building widespread support on four continents and has raised three hundred thousand dollars in funds. RT's Gayane Chichakyan reports from.

well you see the problem is how you define "rich". If it's all about money, then yes, rich and poor are greedy bastards. Money should be used as a tool, it can lead you to, but ultimately doesn't bring you happiness.

@jsiszero lol don't know about that. I agree that some of these occupy people are idealistic nuts. But the main message here is just that the growing gap between the super rich and the poor is unsustainable and will eventually lead us into a plutocracy. I mean did you know that the top 400 richest individuals now have more wealth than the lower 50% of the population?! At very least we need a limit on soft money campaign contributions or AT LEAST make these donations public knowledge

wow look at that, the poor wants to get rich! Do you see what's wrong with this? OWS are scam artists. The very rich and the very poor are such drama queens.

Take arms shit, your own constitution asks you too, blood shed of patriots and tyrants, some shit like that, I'm just a permanent resident but if I was a citizen I'd be down their with a rifle and pistol

Many years ago, I heard it said that a 10% tax across all people would be the way to go. I don't understand what is wrong with that? Perhaps the very poor needn't be taxed as they probably can't afford anything. I wonder where this OWS will go. Will people listen? Will it be a movement that is supressed with jailings? It is reminding me of the French revolution, with some huge differences. Marie Antoinette was one person, saying, 'let them eat cake' whereas now she is everyone in that 1%.

So what is the OWS going to do with their $300,000 once they get whatever it is they want? I'd really like it if the people making videos and the RT news cast could follow up on where the money goes. Let's see if they practice what they preach.

People like to look at history.. the reality is that in history democracies have degraded into fascism and communist governments have degraded into dictatorships. Neither has proven historically to work all the time. But there are examples of successful democratic/socialist nations around the world With hybrid economies with some state intervention and some privatization. The issue here is corruption and corruption can exist in all economic/government systems... its the sad truth.

@MR1QUEST Yes and Communism leads to Barbarism and all the wonderful advantages of starvation, ignorance, and an early death. All things that Capitalism is lifting the world out of will definitely return under Communism (or Socialism or Fascism or Progressivism).
