  • Thanks everyone for your Opinions and comments, I take everything into consideration - I was 19 at the time actually I am 22 now :) I may post up some new Videos I'm actually working on a piece called Moonfall, Some Marriage of Figaro pieces, and some lieder.

  • I think that this is a lovely version of the piece you did a really great job especially for your age at the time. However, your definition of Coloratura soprano is inaccurate...

  • I thought you were good, and I LOVED the 'pearls and ruby rings' talking part. But the beginning was a little too fast. And the 'ha ha ha' part was too slow. You should also not do it exactly like Kristen Chenoweth.

  • As a side note, coloratura has nothing to do with the vocal range. Keep singing!

  • @sullivanj93 You really don't know how the voice works, do you? You really should do some research before you go trolling on youtube next time. When I was 16 I had easy b's above your notes, we get it - your voice hasn't completely changed yet. Her voice, just like the rest of ours, won't be settled into her for years. Those are fairly high notes - not extreme, but on the higher end instandard repertoire and the length of those notes depends on how she wants to do it.

  • Agreed. You have a great voice, so why imitate someone else? I don't even think Kristin Chenoweth's voice is suited for this "comedy aria" anyway. Brava!

  • Excellent! You have such a wonderful voice and your performance was charming and engaging!

  • people are so mean...you've done a great job..this is hard stuff and you're doing good. i'm sure you're even better now =-) its all about always growing and thats what i say to any musician i see is never become complacent so as long as you're continuing to mature musically you're in the right place...forget the haters lol

  • Can definitely tell that you're a Cheno fan! I love your voice. So rarely you come across a natural voice this beautiful! It seems to flow so effortlessly from you! Love it!!

  • Well, if you don't consider all that Cs, D-flats and E-flats (which are long notes) as high...what can i say? And, come on, she's only 19 years old!

  • Hi, Tasha, congratulations, keep on the good work, I think you have fantastic potentials.

''Moonfall'' fro the ''Mystery of Edwin Drood''? Great song

  • Have you seen the score of the song? It is definately high! Very Very difficult technically, and her voice is EXACTLY where it needs to be, in my opinion. BRAVO!

  • I think it is an aria not for your age, although it lacks a little more mature, but you have very good voice nor doubt that, congratulations, just be careful when getting on and you hear a scream unpolished near the end of the piece . a kiss from guadalajara mexico.
