is this pedal fuck with your tone even though its not true bypass?
-
@EasyOnTheAmoeba Well I guess it depends on your financial situation, I'd say go for it if you have the money for the repairs and patience because this pedal WILL at some point let you down. Ive had 5 now, I LOVE the pedal it sounds like no other, but I think its just tired me out now and I cannot deal with another problem, it just stresses me out. Mines just gathering dust and because I think no wah comes close to this one I doubt I will ever buy another wah. Such a shame because it sounds A+

@JFstrat90 Ah okay i see, is it still worth it??
I really want a frusicante sound to my rig

@EasyOnTheAmoeba Hey mate, sure, basically I love the pedal so much, I love the sound, look and feel. Im gutted they keep breaking ( I have had 5 reissues in total now ) Basically lets pretend you plug straight into the amp - you get a crystal clear sound! But plug the Ibanez wh10v2 in the loop and its like someone has come up to your strat and turned your tone control down to about 6/7. So you have to increase the treble on the amp, but you will never get the tone back that this wah steals :(

@JFstrat90 Hey man, im getting the wh10v2 for christmas, and its a sick wah pedal, but i ehard that it doesnt have true bypass, can you tell me from your expeirience, in as much detail as you can what this means and what kind of tone of volume changes id notice, if there are any. Thanks!

No joke, I've had 5 of these and my fifth one has just broke :( I'd be mad to actually buy 5 but they have all been replaced from the shop I bought it from, all 5 of them the pot just dies after about 5 months of use.. to the point where it is unusable.. So upset, its such a great sound but the pots get soo scratchy and noisy after a while. Feel free to message me for any info on the Ibanez wh10v2 I know my stuff after this many haha :P

@TheGzeus Very true and good info.

@dman6505 That's because if you put many distortion units in front of an inductor-based wah (crybaby et al) it starts feeding back in an annoying screamy fashion.
Some bands have used that intentionally, but it's uncommon.
This was one of the first units that didn't do this.

how much does this pedal suck your tone when its on? I heard this is a common issue with the reissue
The WH10v2 is a great pedal, especially if you put it after distortion, which you really cannot do with a Cry Baby. You'll get that famous Frusciante sound, who has the best wah sound out there imo. However, there is a significant volume and tone loss, when it's in bypass mode. So I'll probably have to install a loop for this pedal alone so my normal guitar sound doesn't get affected.

have you changed anything on this pedal

@kcajtmurphy No, I filmed this within minutes of opening it new. I still have the pedal and haven't done any tone mods to it. I do wish it had a volume control though...
