Dr Mark Jones developed Animal Agentz based on his own research as a PhD student at Great Ormond's Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust (GOSH) where he focused on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and computer science. The evolution of this product has taken over 10 years of research and development.
The initial aim in creating Animal Agentz was to help children overcome the fears and anxieties they quite naturally experience when faced with medical procedures. From his own experience of spending a considerable time in hospital as a child, Dr Jones knows all too well that, to a child, the prospect of an inoculation or providing a blood sample can be disproportionately daunting.
When we recently conducted an independent trial of our product, we found parents had many more applications for which they used Animal Agentz.
