Even if the house masked the sound. That still doesn't explain how not one person in the house heard it. Were talking bout a shotgun! Not a hand gun. The sound could be masked a little. But without a VERY good silencer it would still be enough to wake someone up. Cause the sound would be magnified in a small space. So it would be even louder.
