I don't have comfort access on my '06 E90 325xi sedan, but it starts without the key in it! It usually only works if the key has been in the socket since the door was last opened, for instance if you turn off the car waiting for someone. Maybe my car's just special.

  • Try doing this 15 seconds after you turn off the car. It'll be impossible without the engine being cold.

Also, when you're outside with the windows closed, try holding the open button for more than 5 seconds. The windows and sunroof will open.

  • mine works too.. i was pushing the button after i toook out the key and it started!

i thought something was wrong lolz

  • I thought that was Comfort Access. I have the same key in my 5 Series. I have a 3 Series today as a loaner while mine is getting serviced.

  • they can all do this, my 328i does it too.
