You're right about the Zelda part - I mean the Zelda games were the first thing known to man to have used flying ghosts...

Yes - there is a dark and light ending depending on the powers you've bought.

The game is MUCH easier than shown here mainly because the guy playing it doesn't buy very powerful spells.
