The Wishing Wall

The Wishing Wall is large-scale interactive digital mural that we built for the San Jose Museum of Art.

The phone at the top of the stairs records wishes, which are displayed in as floating text clouds in the ambient visualization on the wall. Wishes float around in a sort of "wish tank," with the appearance of each wish influenced by its duration, tone, and intensity.

Picking up the phone at the bottom of the stairs catches a wish floating nearby, pulls it out the bottom of the mural, and plays it back on the phone.

All of the recorded wishes are saved, and we select our favorite wishes to recirculate through the mural later on.
