Orbit Feeling Better in the ICU

Our Red Lory, Orbit, has a bacterial infection that nearly cost him his life a few days ago. Labwork showed severe anemia and liver damage as he masked the illness long enough for it to do such damage to his body. Thankfully we caught it before it killed him and he is now being tube fed, on antibiotics and spending his time in a little homemade ICU unit on my kitchen counter. Today was a milestone for the little guy as he started chatting at me through the glass and started hopping around begging to play. We will have his labs drawn again soon to determine how the antibiotics have affected him and are hoping that with the infection gone, he will be able to recover. Please say some prayers that Orbit's returning energy levels reflect an internal victory!
