Lovely piano section. Reminds me of my Great Granny! Is it a quickstep or a foxtrot!?..... All people today should learn still! I digress (yet again!). Classic lovely 20s singer and a sweet melody - simple and refined and comes back to you in a subtle way - very lovely. Thank you for putting this on You Tube. Sometimes it is just lovely to hear a sweet song on occasion. Lovely.

Such a pleasant tune. There was only one other British version( by Debroy Somers).
Thought I knew the vocalist but checked to make sure and it is Tom Barratt.
Recorded 14th May 1931.
Greening did one session for HMV in 1928. Two records were issued as Palias de Danse Orchestra. A prolific but rather over-looked bandleader.

That accordeon sounds so modern! What a leader! Recorded on all kinds of labels Victory, Columbia, Regal, Imperial, Mimosa......

Yet another leader who deserves a CD. Even his pre-electric Corona Dance orchestra recordings where ace. I have him doing ''I love my chilli bom bom'' and it's streets ahead of the Savoy Havanna Band.
Such a pity he's largely forgotten today... this tune and performance are awesome!

How good a clean Regal sounds on this!I never once heard Alan Dell play a Greening,or seen his recordings on a LP or CD re release. He was prolific in the 20s but its these late Regals that are great.
