KMST 1.2.262 - Neo City (Year 2503)

UPDATE: It's official! GMS is getting Neo City instead than Neo Tokyo on February 19th, 2010!

The Neo City video series come to an end! This time, we're in the last area of Neo City, which is in the year 2503. What will expect us? Read the explanation below to understand!

Disclaimer: this is taken from Daum TV so I own no credits for the video nor do I know who the recorder is, so I can't tell you his/her name.

What NEXON Korea is trying to do is making World Tour areas somehow fit in the official continents of the Maple World (like Victoria Island or Ossyria), then modifying them so that they actually ARE part of the Maple World. For example, instead than from Zipangu, you now go to Neo Tokyo through Tera Forest, in Leafre. Obviously, the storyline, as well as NPCs/monsters (including bosses) locations are different, and you will notice BIG differences between the nerfed Neo Tokyo and the original one. The original one has monsters which are A LOT stronger. And with "A LOT" I mean like 50 levels stronger or more.

The nerfed monsters deal a lot less damage, have low HP and give less EXP. Boss monsters are treated like Area Bosses, and are free for all, as you can see at the end of this tour video.

Explanation:

This is the last area of the Neo City areas. This time, we're in "Sky Battle Ship", a renaming of the original name "Flagship Fire Oldfox". It has both types of Guards as monsters, and the Nibelung boss at the end. Like every other Neo City area, the monsters are nerfed versions of the original Neo Tokyo ones.

One particular thing which can be noticed is the boss at the end, which doesn't work correctly, as you can see from around 1:50 until the end of the video. But, because this is a test server, things like this happen. It's just a bug and it'll be probably fixed soon.

Yknow what would be cool? If Maplestory would show Year 3000 for Elinia/Perion/Henesys/Kerning.­.. It would look like all destroyed by TONS of monsters lvl 100/150

and the boss of all would be a maple character lvl 200 and it would be your job and is a shadow that was supposed to be you in the future, you could play it at lvl 190 as a PQ/ at lvl 199-200 you could solo and get TONS of money/XP/Items - Future based equips and epic godly scrolled items
