This and a few other Salieri operas should be revived and performed more often. Salieri was an excellent composer. He was immensely popular in his day for a good reason.

@comtrend Muy bien dicho, en lo único que discrepo en considerar a "Amadeus" (la de Shaffer y la posterior película, más que a la obra de Pushkin o a la ópera de Rimski-Korsakov) como basura: es una obra de FICCION que está bien hecha.

En algún momento de la película debería honrarse el nombre de Salieri (al final fundamentalmente) haciendo referencia a lo grande que fue este compositor y maestro de muchos otros grandes (Beethoven, Lizst, Schubert, aún el hijo del propio Mozart...)

siempre comparando a Salieri con Mozart....esto es gracias a la basura de "Amadeus" que para tener algo de argumento, inventa una mala relación entre ambos músicos

Mozart had a great respect for Salieri. Apart from one letter to Mozart's father where he accuses Salieri and the Italian composers of working get "Figaro" out of Vienna, Mozart and Salieri seem to have gotten along very well. They even collaborated on a cantata "Per la ricuperata salute di Ophelia," which is unfortunately lost.
