This is great. I just wished the male reenactors would wear long hair.....I feel like it cheapens it and it's just too easy for them to put on the anglo-saxon clothing but always always having the nice modern haircuts.

It's really interesting to see how a language has evolved so much. A modern English speaker like myself can't even make a lot of those sounds.

Yep, It's virtually a foreign language - try listening to bit of medieval English: it's half-way between modern English and the old English from the clip, and it is at least recognisably English!
