You can blow a head gasket from a number of situations. The most common is not allowing the bike to warm up before riding, especially with a high compression engine. You can find more information at the build a hog web site blog. You could have a warped head, a bad gasket or loose cylinder studs.
You should be able to pull the top end down in the frame just like on the video. You can download the whole thing from the web site to get all the information.
Thanks,
Mike Durham

That is a tough question to answer without knowing the specifics. It depends if it is a twin cam, sportster, evolution, ect and what the reasoning is as to why it needs to be rebuilt.

I would like to see how to put a top end and bottom end together with all the parts laid out. Could you make a video like that?

@daddyof220 Hey there,
Our shovelhead engine build will walk you through assembling a bottom end along with the rest of the motor. A shovelhead and Evolution crank case are just about itentical. Thanks!
