Knitting, power tools and inventiveness.

Yes, that's my spice rack. I couldn't find anything like a lazy suzan and the spice rack swivels, but it turns out that just the wooden arms turn quite well on their own. I'll probably figure out a different swivel point to make the whole thing smoother.

The winder part is an electric drill/screwdriver, a straight needle and two cardboard discs. The steel needle is a bit slippy, it would probably go better with a bamboo needle or just a wooden dowel.
