@floskate What can one say about her hair? It was the fashion in the mid-1960's. Pre-hippie hair.

Had she lived, and made the team I wonder how the late Laurence Owen would have done at those Olympic Games against Sjoukje, Regine, and Petra.

@saskiaburgermeister She did indeed and Diane was World Champion the previous year in 1975. Sjoukje Dijkstra was the last native born Dutch person to win a medal for the Netherlands in figure skating because Diane de Leuew was of course from California and only skated for the Netherlands because her mother was Dutch.

Ach die Sjoukje, wat enorm leuk om haar weer te zien!! Ik was toch al van plan eens op youtube naar haar te zoeken maar dit kwam ik heel toevallig tegen! Ik was 15 toen, jong en onbedorven. Wou dat ik toen wist wat ik nu weet..................
