Puretch Photopolymer for Photo Etching & PCB Demo #1

©2009 Puretch photopolymer high resolution etching resist for fine art copper plate photo etching intaglio and photo circuit boards, PCB. This DIY video will show you how to laminate and expose a plate with Puretch photopolymer. The photo resist is sandwiched between 2 thin sheets of mylar. Discard all mylars. What did you do to get the gray values?

Did you use a separate raster or was it embedded in the transparent?

@brizpdotcom I just made a 300 dpi grayscale, then let the inkjet printer use it's default stochastic dot pattern when printing at 1440 dpi, black ink only. I have a new grayscale how-to lesson on my site. Thanks!

Please use PHOSPHATE FREE TSP and WEAR GLOVES when degreasing.

Is this similar to making foil stamping dies?? Great vid...will check out your web site*****

The resist could be used for that. Foil stamping dies are just deeply etched plates. I have used Puretch for deep etching copper for embossing paper. See my Transmutation series on my main website's gallery.

Thank you, I plan on doing an etching video next. I've just been busy with some other projects. I shot 2 of 3 of those videos from a tripod so there just isn't much room in my etching/darkroom and that's the main reason I haven't gotten around to it.
