We Canadians aren't as gung-ho about our efforts in WW2, but we are every bit as proud of our fathers and grandfathers. Lest we Forget! Salute.

why are people so stupid? You come here and bash countries and try to tell who won? nobody won! the war did so much destruction that in the end humanity lost.

And all countries fought together, it's not about america or canada. Europe would have been screwed without help of north america.

@kagomefan101 yeah thats what the US thought in 1812 aswell, figuring there population figures and contental army would overwelm our small number of militia. but it didnt work out that way... Canadians won every major land battle until the Brits showed up in 1814 with Napoleonic war vets and ending up losing a battle after burning the whitehouse.. if u read a US history book they shove off the invasion of Canada and only mention a few naval fights against our small cargo ships. Hilarious.

Hollywood made out the US to be the best in WW2 but really they joined 2 years late after alot of very heavy fighting and the tide of war really changed when russia joined not the US... if Russia didnt get attacked the US wouldnt have a hollywood to make them feel better about missing 1/3 of the war.

@Arc9er I never said that they wouldn't stomp us with their population and technology. I was stating that the Canadian, American, and English Alliance put together could conqure our world at least 20 times. Canada has better trained soldiers, America has some of the world's best equipment, and England has the most diciplined Officers

@98vanguard Canada was making some guns themselves but other than that they would use guns from other countries.

In 1940 Canada had a population of 11,000,000. That's approximately the population of NYC and LA today. One country with a small population did so much to save the free world. @98vanguard After the Ross Rifle debacle we decided it was best to stick with the british weapons and don't forget we were and still are a British Commonwealth nation so it would make sense to use the same guns. Now we make a lot of our own weapons but even so their just modified versions of weapons and vehicles used by other countries. Politics tends to get involved to often when we try to make anything ourselves. Just search "The Avro Arrow" and you'll understand what I mean.

@sweiland75 America tried to do what we never did before and tried to stay out of a war for once, but when we were attacked we couldn't just sit there and act like it meant nothing we had to do something about it. Then hitler declared war on us while we declared war on japan for what they did but after that our government is getting involved again like in korea, vietnam, and now the middleeast but the middleast (terrorist) attacked us too, but we been there to long now.

@Baboonaiih when you said "making" did you mean they were USING the few weapons that they had or that they were being made exactly during ww2 that they can only use british weapons?
