Chavez claims referendum win - Feb 16 09

Hugo Chavez, Venezuela's president, has won a referendum that calls for term limits on the presidency and other official posts to be abolished. Al Jazeera's Marianna Sanchez reports from Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, on the vote which will allow Chavez to run for president again in 2012.

The thing is that he re-introduced an ideology and practice it which already has proven more than a lot in the last 100 years it just dont work. An ideologie that is doomed to put only a few man in power who has all strings in there hand and dont give ambitions nore chanses anymore to the people.

but no, he obtained to polarise the situation and set up social groups against eachother. its sad and a lost chanse...i agree he did learn to read a lot of people who might never learned to read otherwise but its sad than if you see the quality of what the people learn.

the goal of his higher education policymaking consists the rapid changes that are transforming this society in ideological terms. Ideologization is now the key element of the system.

People this days need to start to fight, robe and steel for a few bolivares who has btw the next day less value than the day before! Instead of giving poor people a carrot so they stay quiet. he could put up an high quality educationsystem that pays itself back in les than 10 years wit a lot of cooperations with highevoluated economic countrys, bringing knowhow to venezuela. Give poor people the chance also to learn the same things what made middleclass succesfull.

You said it yourself in your letter mrshutter77: venezuela should produce much more by itself because it needs to import more and more. and indeed the statistieks are proving it. THAT is a direct effect of chavez his policy against people who have the ambition to start an own bussines or already had one. criminality is rising... why? just because people are getting without a job or dont get the stimuli anymore to start something. the climate for that is totaly destroyed.
