Anyone !
Years ago, I heard a verse recited by Liam Clancy in regard of the Irish poet, Sean O'Casey, "a rare time for death in Ireland",. A young lassie in holiday attire walking too slow when a bullet struck her white blouse, a crimson red patch of death spreading on her white blouse. A young man starring wide eyed into the sky, and if asking, "why me". I'm still searching for this poem. Does anyone know the author and if this in fact be the true title and Sean O'casey the poet?

ah, didn't jim have such a mattter of factly excecution. I always thought he was thrown on an ambulance at the castle and driven to kilmainham to be killed . taken through the big arch door ( like the chidrens show ) to the execution yard , the other leaders were taken from the prison building which was at the other end of the yard, so jim was killed at one end and the others at the main building end , this was because they didn't want to carry jim down the yard on a stretcher alive & then back

this is nothing to do with O'Casey's play, its just a very strange interpretation of the easter rising

@pokypoky It was the film adapted from the play.

Oh I wasn't questioning your information, I'm just saying that if Ford claims to have based this on the play he must seen/read a different version of it to me

@pokypoky don't worry. I've yet to see the play so I was unaware of that.
