  • I took lessons from JB and I sliced the ball and didn't get the distance that I knew I needed.

I just read Tom Watson's book and it worked for me. Different methods work for different body styles in my opinion.

  • Good Instruction. Go to Gordon James Golf to see how to hit a big drive!

  • Jimmy Ballard's methods = Rockin and Blockin

  • left handed golfer seems hard to watch if you'll apply his trick.. but for them this is easy.. :)

  • This guy is right on, except when he says the arms can't be trusted. It depends on what he means. If he means forearm rotation can't be trusted, which is what I gather, completely agree. You have to use your arms some in the golf swing, though.

  • Mr. Ballard teaches a coil into the right leg not a sway. Get his cd's, you swayers and know it alls might learn something. After all ,he studied the greatest swing in golf Mr. Hogan.Remember a good tip from Mr. Ballard" that lots of angles cause problems."

  • @DJMorrisInc when did i say anything about the head? and to the principles that i believe any lateral movement is a sway and is not necessary, however everybody has their own opinions.

  • @Ballardteacher How much power is possible in this kind of swing?

  • Here is a good exercise, go and check out other sports, tennis, baseball and hockey and etc and see if they don't shift their weight into the set of their leg and get the "tool" to the object! If Nolan Ryan was pitching do you think you would "delay" the hit? If you were squaring an axe upon a tree, what you you get there as fast as you can? the handle or the blade? Its very simple >> Its white and round and its on the ground, >>GET the club head there as fast as you can!!

  • @Ballardteacher Much easier way to swing IMO.
