  • Where did you do the septoplasty? Is it still working?

  • @leolyy I did it at a ENT specialist in the St. Paul area. It is still working (had it done in Nov 2009), but I'm still getting used to breathing through my nose instead of my mouth.

  • WAIT U ARE AWAKING FOR THE SURGERY?

  • Ouch you're brave!!!! I had mine done a few days ago. No packing or splints put in. Lucky I guess huh?.... -.-

Not all of the fault falls on the doctor that they have to charge so much for simple things. Part of the reason is the ridiculous cost of malpractice insurance they have to pay each year which is outrageous. Of course, there is always instances of true malpractice behavior that happen, but the number of frivilous lawsuits that receive ridiculous awards from idiot juries has contributed to the jacking up of malpractice insurance rates.

  • @leenetworx so septoplasty is around 1700 dollars which does involve some work and 1500 for the turbinate colbation which involves no work really....just a wand shoved in the inflamed bulb lookin turbinate.....doctors are fucking scam artists.

  • @ChilloutSessionZ

I just had my septoplasty and turbinate reduction performed last Thursday. Procedure cost was $3200. Getting the splints removed in a few hours, thankfully; these things have been driving me insane. The pressure from them has been giving me headaches and upper teeth aches.

  • how much does this cost without insurance.

  • @kd61906 People sure do take nose breathing for granted! I've never been able to breathe out of there. I get my splints out on Wednesday. Congratulations on your successful surgery and recovery!

  • did it hurt when he pulled that stuff out of your nose... could you sleep at night after the surgery?????
