It's as level as it can be on a grass field, and we're actually pointed toward an elementary school about 75 yards away. The furthest I've ever seen our "bullet" go is when we used a piece of wet flannel and it went about 30 feet and wasn't even singed. Our cone of safety is a 90 degree arc (45 degrees on either side of the muzzle) all the way to the school. If anyone's there, we don't shoot. Safety is paramount.

It's so unfortunate that you can't get the real percussive BOOM on a video. I know that until I started dabbling with cannons myself I had no idea how loud they truly are. Movies just don't prepare your for a sound that can literally knock the breath outta ya ;D

Thats a cool cannon and cool vid but if you loaded it that slow on the field a musket ball would probably have struck you. But also thats a great rammer and a smart idea
