Chip Taylor, Carrie Rodriguez, and John Platania (from Van Morrison's band) singing Angel of the Morning, which Chip wrote. Live in the studio at 100.1 WDST Radio Woodstock in Woodstock, NY. More exclusive videos and photos at wdst.com
this song has been swimming around in my head for a couple of days. good to hear it sung but its writer; a very different version that reflects the many women who've tried it make it their own. this rendition is a lot more 'earthy' than the otherworldly atmosphere some evoke.
The lyrics convey heartwrenching pain and total submission. Yet, there is a hint of pure bliss in there somehow; I couldn't ask for more!
