"Loosely based" on Paul's song? This is essentially a cover of Paul's song with different lyrics and some variations on the melody. The chords and overall melodic structure are the same. I've used the original as a lullaby with the kids I work with at a pediatric hospital (where the lyrics are actually quite appropriate), but I can see how they might not quite work for a traditional lullaby. Overall, I much prefer Paul's version, but hey, nobody can really compete with him anyway. Nice job!
