Hey SPTAH: Do you have OZ?
-
Does it get any purer than this?

Yes, excellent is just another word.... but.....this prelude or introduction sounds like a final test of harmony in Julliard....Zamacois, Korsakov, Verdi, Puccini, Bach, and others did it. We are musicians....our work .....minds thinking and making diferent sounds witn the musical materials....armony....rythm and melody....and noise .....thats all guys.....ask to others musicians.....hitherto....they are good .

@dongarlock Can we make music like that? 7/4...metrics and leit motiv like greenhouse....never ....but if we hear Stravinsky, Arvo Part, Britten, Bartok, and others composers......well.....

Agreed. Profound. Most people don't hear it. Just listen to the bass and it all comes together. Thanks.

Yellowjaxkets went from being pop like to being brilliant beginning with their best album, Four Corners. They followed later with Greenhouse which was another brilliant home run.
This is so damn tight!! What a wonderful selection and placement of each note. Each of the 4 masters giving the other's sounds a chance to breathe.
Sweet fusion groove. The African grooves (keys/drums) are reminiscent of Wildlife, another gem.
The lead-in before the sax solo is just gorgeous. You can almost sense the destination, yet the journey is its own reward.
And the solo? Sonic Gestalt!
Put the phones on close the lids... This is about as close to musical bliss as it gets.
Wow....
