This needs to be stopped now. He should have gotten a 2year ban and Quins thrown out of next years Heineken Cup. It was deceit, dishonesty and cheating of the highest oreder in a psort that looks down on soccer for its diving, etc. They need to be made an example of NOW. What they did was criminal and deserved a harsher penalty. Fake blood capsules for fucks sake. Whats next? Stamp this out now and set an example for those tempted to bring this incredible game into disrepute.

that's a point, yes, but I seriously find it difficult to believe that it was only 1 player who knew about what Dean Richards' tactical plan was at the time. that's what I was getting at, that the rest of the playing squad might have got off a bit lightly with the club just getting a fine . But the punishment's been handed out, and, I don't think anything like this will happen again.

nick evans didnt necessarily know what was going on. and even if you did, if your coach tells you your being sent on in the club's biggest game of the year, you can't really refuse. tom williams is guilty yes, especially since the revelation that he offered to lie about it if quins paid off his mortgage, but nev? dont think so myself

They're lucky to still be in the Heiniken Cup. I will say that I'm surprised Nick Evans has got away from this with absolutly nothing, cause i think he's almost as responsible as Tom Williams was, and Williams has got 4 months.

Then again, further action against other individuals at quins is still in discussion, so, who knows?

But their punishment is clearly a great warning to the world of rugby that cheating won't be tollorated, and i don't think tactical cheating like this will happen again

I've been following this story on the BBC website but this is the 1st time I've seen the footage. Disgraceful stuff by Quins, bunch of cheats......they should be booed every 80mins they play from now on. And what was Tom Williams thinking to wink like that.....must be a big Monty Python fan...nudge nudge wink wink. Well he and Cheato, sorry Deano can have a few nights in watching Monty Python re-runs whilst they serve their bans.
